It's important for our clients to understand the variations when using ceramic tile. These tiles are intended to show color and texture just like natural stone. Since the composition of the tile’s glaze can vary greatly, different tile styles will exhibit different gloss levels. We want our clients to understand everything about the tile they choose and want, tiles in a solid color will provide a consistent look, however, shade variation is inherent in all fired ceramic products, and certain tiles will show great variation within their dye lots. Shade variation is usually listed on the back label of each sample with a low, moderate, high, or random rating.
